A Salute to Will

Good morning, folks.

This post is a very bittersweet one to write and I have been putting it off for a while, because I wanted to get it right.

Will, who has been the Raven's designer since the beginning has decided to leave us. This is not remotely acrimonious, just to be very clear about that. Will and I remain very, very good friends. But he has a lot going on in his life right now, and his priorities have shifted, and so he has made the difficult decision to hand the reins completely over to me and focus on other things.

I want to take a moment to thank him so much for the years he has spent working on this bizarre and beautiful endeavour with me. The Raven has been one of the most delightful professional partnerships of my life, we have made some amazing things together, and Will has brought an aesthetic to it that will definitely live on without him.

This is part of why things have been quiet around here, as I have been considering and working out how to move forward. The Raven will continue! We have several projects in the works, but because we've had to do some rearranging of responsibilities, they have stalled a little. I am getting them back on track, though, and you should see some new things from us in the new year at the latest.

For now, though, please join me in raising a nice pint of something cold to our beloved Will and wishing him the absolute best in his future quest for the perfect brisket, beautiful design, and being the greatest Dad in the world (according to his small human, anyway).

If you'd like to keep track of Will's journey, you can find him at:

I love you, dude. Someday I am going to get back to Wellington and buy some delicious BBQ from you. <3
